Manchester Craft and Design Centre are lucky to have a dedicated team of volunteers who are passionate about Manchester’s history and enjoy talking to our visitors about what we do. We're currently pausing recruitment for the programme but keep an eye on our website for updates - we'll share news here as soon as it's available.
We are an age-friendly organisation, and our volunteers help out with a range of different tasks. Volunteers assist our team at events and workshops and provide a warm welcome to our visitors.
We would really love to hear from anyone with personal experience of our building in the past who would like to share their own stories or that of their family, friends or colleagues.
“I feel through volunteering at MCAD I have gained greater confidence both in my ability to engage with people that I do not know, engaging with other volunteers in a friendly way and building professional relationships with staff and workers in the Centre.”
Callum, Volunteer 2020
Our volunteer programme is made possible thanks to support from the Postcode Neighbourhood Trust and National Lottery Community Fund.
