Celebration Event: Exhibition, Graduates, and New Resident Maker!

18TH ANNUAL MANCHESTER METROPOLITAN GRADUATE AWARD WINNERS

Saturday, 22nd February; 5pm-7pm

Manchester Craft and Design Centre

Join us this Saturday, 22nd Feb, 5–7pm, as we celebrate this year’s award-winning Manchester School of Art/Manchester Metropolitan University graduates: Isla Paine, Sam Holmes (BA Product Design & Craft), and Mary Craig (BA Textiles in Practice). Their work explores material, pattern, and movement, reflecting nature, life, and the balance between urgency and hope.

Meet the artists, see their striking collection, and celebrate fresh talent!

Isla’s work will also feature in Divinity Studio as part of the Manchester Metropolitan University Graduate Showcase Exhibition. Selected by Divinity Studio’s Jewellers Eve Redmond & Stacey Hill for her innovative approach, Isla has created a special body of work for this showcase, running alongside Movement Through Materiality until Saturday, 29th March.

Divinity’s launch event runs from 3–7pm in Studio 22 on the First Floor.

Alongside their launch event, Divinity Studio is also welcoming new resident maker Areesha Ali @__areeesha. A British-Pakistani jeweller from Dewsbury, Areesha draws inspiration from nature; crafting intricate, hand-sculpted pieces that explore shape, layers and texture as miniature pieces of body decoration.

All of her pieces have been individually wax sculpted in Manchester, then casted in silver up North.

Join us for an evening of creativity, fresh talent, and bold ideas!

Divinity’s Launch: 3–7pm (Studio 22, First Floor) | Graduate Showcase: 5–7pm (Exhibition Space, Ground Floor)
