Ella McIntosh commissioned for the Spirit of MCR Award

We are delighted to announce that one of our very own resident makers Ella McIntosh has been specially commissioned to produce the awards for the Spirit Of Manchester Award. Ella who specialises in handcrafted, contemporary Pewterware for the home and table, can be found creating beautiful metal work in her studio THIS IS PEWTER on the first floor of MCDC.

This is what Ella had to say about her involvement:

‘Recently I was delighted to be asked by MACC (Manchester Community Central) to design and make the first ever SPIRIT OF MANCHESTER AWARDS.

Tonight, I am excited to find out who the Lord Mayor will be presenting the awards to at this prestigious ceremony. Spread over 8 categories the awards are to acknowledge and reward the hard work of volunteers and community groups throughout Manchester who give their time and dedication everyday. It has been an absolute pleasure to be a part of.’
